Understanding your kid's different stages of development greatly facilitates the way you parent them. From the baby stage to the teen stage, all come with new learning, behavior, and development milestones. The five major stages that every parent should be familiar with are as follows.
The main emphasis of this stage is on rapid physical development. The first signs of communication in babies are responding to voices, smiling, and recognising familiar faces.
Toddlers grow rapidly and want to walk, talk, and explore the world around them. They also like to play simple games, both indoor and outdoor and acquire new skills.
During this period, children learn language and develop social and motor skills. They love drawing, counting, and learning alphabet.
The kids at this point are more inquisitive and logical. They are working on their reading, writing, and problem-solving skills. Through school and sports, they are also learning teamwork.
At this stage, emotional, physical, and social changes happen. As teenagers, kids become confident, they can maintain their identity and moral standards, and be prepared for the time when they will be independent.
