Hence, he decided to sit on the apple tree and wait for the Apple to fall by itself. As time passed, no Apple fell from the tree. John got desperate yet still did not make the effort to climb the tree. Suddenly, an apple fell from the tree and hit his head. Hungry John was now injured and had learned his lesson. The moral of the story is that laziness cannot take you anywhere in life. To get something in life, one needs to work hard for it.

The Lion and The Slave

Once upon a time, there lived a slave who ran away from his cruel master. The slave was extremely kind and giving by nature. One day, while roaming in the forest, the slave met a lion who was in excruciating pain and roaring because of the same. The slave decided to help the lion clean its wound and applied some herbs on top. Then both of them went their own ways. A few days later, the slave was caught by his master and sent to the same lion's den for punishment. Instead of eating the slave, the lion touched his feet and helped him escape. The story highlights the importance of a good deed. A real act of kindness always comes back in one form or another.

The Rose and the Cactus

There once lived a cactus and a rose plant in a desert. The rose plant was extremely vain about its beauty and often teased the cactus for its harsh appearance. This made the cactus extremely sad, but it never said anything to the rose plant in return. Days passed, and winter cascaded into summer. Soon, the rose plant started losing its beauty because of a lack of water. One day, it saw a bird pecking the cactus plant to drink some water. That's how the rose realized the actual function of the cactus and the fact that it stored water. The rose felt apologetic and asked for some water from the cactus. The cactus decided to help the rose and taught it the lesson of humility. The story teaches kids about the importance of not judging a book by its cover and appreciating everyone for their unique abilities.

The Clever Neighbor
Farmer standing near a well in a farm

The clever neighbor stopped him and said he had sold the well but not the water to the farmer. Distressed, the farmer went to the king for a solution. The king called the neighbor and asked him to extract his water from the well, as the well belonged to the farmer as per the deal. If not possible, the neighbor must start paying rent to the farmer for storing his water in the farmer’s well.
