The Greedy Dog is a story of a dog who lives in a village far off in the mountains. He was known among the villagers for being extremely greedy and always stealing others' food. Once when the dog was passing through a bridge with a bone in its mouth, it saw a reflection of its own. Thinking that it was another dog with a bigger bone, the greedy dog decided to take the bone from the dog in the reflection. On impulse, the dog decided to jump in the water and ended up losing the bone that it had previously. The moral of the story is that greed is the biggest root of one's downfall. Sometimes it's better to be satisfied with what one has.

The Ugly Duckling

The Ugly Duckling is a story of a duckling that was always ridiculed by other animals in the forest for its looks. However, with time, the duckling eventually transformed into an extremely beautiful Swan. Suddenly, everyone who used to previously criticize the duckling for its looks started praising the duckling. The ugly duckling was no longer ugly but had become remarkably beautiful in its looks. However, the duckling explained to people that it is not the external beauty that matters, but true beauty lies on the inside. A person's nature and kindness make them beautiful, and it is all that makes a difference. The moral of the story is that we should never judge somebody by their looks and focus more on their character and attitude towards people.

The Wind and the Sun

Once the wind and the sun argued over who was the strongest out of the two. While the wind claimed that it could blow over even the strongest animals and trees, the sun claimed that its heat could burn all living organisms. To test their strength, the wind and the sun decided to experiment their power on a person walking down the street. The test was to make the person walking on the street remove their court. Whoever became successful would be the stronger one out of the two. The wind went first and blew so hard that everything started flying in the air. However, the man held his coat so tight that it became impossible for the wind to remove the quote from the person's body. After some time, the sun took its turn and started to shine gently over the person. Feeling extremely hot, the person instantly took his coat off. The moral of the story is that it is not necessary to always be extremely harsh. Sometimes even while being gentle, a person can get so much work done.

Once an old man had four sons, who always quarreled with each other over land and the wealth of the old man. To teach his kids the importance of unity, the old man decided to teach them a lesson. He collected several dry sticks from the nearby forest and gave each of these sticks to his sons. Now he asked all his sons to break this stick one by one. Each of the suns was successful in breaking the stick very easily. Now he took some more dry sticks and put them in a bundle and asked each son to take a turn and break the bundle. None of the sons were able to break the bundle of sticks. Hence, the old man successfully explained to his kids, the strength in unity and how easily one can be broken down by external factors when they are by themselves.

Two Goats

Once upon a time, there lived two goats in two different villages. There was a bridge connecting both villages so that everyone could travel from one village to another. One fine day, both the goats were passing through the bridge and that's when they got stuck. None of them was ready to give the other one some space to cross the bridge. They got involved in a heated argument and ended up indulging in a physical fight. After much agitation, both of the goats threw each other into the river and ended up drowning. The moral of the story is that sometimes it's better to compromise and solve the situation rather than have a fight as it doesn't bring any good.
